It sounded like a pretty crazy idea for Seattle's Union Gospel Mission to raise thousands of dollars in just 24 hours, but thanks to our community of supporters, we did it!

For those who are lost — there is hope
“I was in the darkest place I had ever been in my life. I prayed to God and said, 'I can't do this anymore.' A half hour later, the Mission’s Search & Rescue team found me sleeping on a piece of cardboard,” says Richard.
Now 6 years clean and sober, Richard is a graduate of our Men's Recovery Program and works at the Mission as our Emergency Outreach Administrator.
“Over the course of my time at Mission, I was able to reconnect with my family. She recently passed away, but my mom went to Heaven being proud of me, instead of thinking of me as a junkie. That was huge.”
He spends his time out on the same streets he used to call home; often driving the same Search & Rescue van that found him. He tells our homeless neighbors, “You guys matter. I see you.”
All of the work done through the Mission is made possible by compassionate people like you, showing God's love for our neighbors who are lost in poverty, homelessness, and addiction.
