Volunteering with Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission is more than a service project. It’s an opportunity to see God’s love in action as He changes lives forever … a chance to give hope, healing, and lifesaving help to our homeless neighbors. Whether serving a meal, mentoring a guest, or sorting donations, volunteers deeply impact what we do and the men, women, and children we serve.
Looking for a meaningful way to serve as a group? Our quarterly deep cleaning projects at the Women and Children’s Shelter offer a hands-on opportunity to bless families in a practical and impactful way.
These three-hour service opportunities are ideal for groups of five to10 people and focus on caring for shared spaces that support daily life at the shelter. Tasks include cleaning kitchens, washing windows, refreshing dining and community areas, and preparing guest rooms.
By helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment, your group plays an important role in supporting the women and children in our care.
Invest deeply. Vested volunteer opportunities allow you to build deep relationships with our homeless neighbors, doing things like mentoring, teaching, internships, and more!
