GiveBIG 2019 is here! And I want to invite you to join compassionate Mission partners from all over the Puget Sound region in taking advantage of GiveBIG to bring help and hope to those in greatest need.
If you haven't heard of GiveBIG, it's an inspiring season of community-wide generosity that, year after year, demonstrates the power you and other compassionate people have to make our city and our region a better place to live. We hope to raise $235,000. That's a BIGgoal. But I have confidence we can do it — with your help.
Here's even better news: A generous matching grant will double any gift you are able to give — up to $100,000!
From now through May 8, caring folks all over Washington will give to support their favorite causes. I'm asking you to choose Seattle's Union Gospel Mission and give as generously as you can to help those who are LOST— struggling in poverty, homelessness, or addiction, and feeling utterly alone and isolated — to become FOUND. Truly FOUND.
When you GiveBIG, you and other partners will help men, women, and families find real hope in an environment of acceptance and accountability, develop tools that enable them to regain their confidence, and, most importantly, find their true worth in Jesus Himself.

Through this proven approach, nearly 8 of 10 men and women in our recovery programs are living in sobriety two years after graduation.
That's remarkable — and what sets the Mission apart.
But more people than ever need your help to find restoration. In fact, there are an estimated 12,112 people fighting homelessness in the greater Seattle area. When you give in support of the Mission through GiveBIG, you'll provide a path to recovery that is structured, disciplined, and, most of all, grounded in God's love.
Just a reminder: You don't have to wait to give — or to have your gift DOUBLED by the matching grant. The GiveBIG season has begun, and will conclude with GiveBIG Day on May 8.
