Our Leadership

President

As President of the Mission, Scott Chin sets the organization's overall strategy and vision, leading the senior team with a steady, mission-first hand. He joined the Mission in 2018 as Chief Development Officer after many years at Microsoft and World Vision. In February 2019, he was appointed as President, making him the fifth President in the Mission's 87-year history and the first to have grown up in the Seattle area.

Scott is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he met his wife, Stephanie. The couple lives in Issaquah and stays closely involved with their church and with YoungLife, continuing a shared commitment to mentorship and community that echoes the work Scott leads at the Mission every day.

Chief Development Officer

As Chief Development Officer, Jason leads the Mission's relational fundraising, marketing, and public relations efforts. He especially enjoys walking alongside donors as they witness the life-changing impact of their giving, both for Mission guests and for themselves. He's equally at home leading a devotional, teaching a class, or playing games at camp with guests in the Mission’s Men’s Recovery program.

Jason brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience spanning education, health care, international relief and development, and social services.

Jason lives in Redmond with his wife, Shauna, and their two children. The family attends Timberlake Church, where Jason helps lead the youth group and Royal Rangers. Beyond his roles as husband, father, and fundraiser, Jason is, by his own admission, a devoted lover of tall trees.

Vice President of Program Ministry

As Vice President of Program Ministry, Scott Cleveland brings more than 25 years of Rescue Mission experience to the role. A licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional, he combines formal clinical training with personal life experience, enabling him to meet guests with both expertise and empathy. Where Lisa Mauga's programs team focuses on the breadth of community engagement and holistic care, Scott anchors the clinical and ministry-specific side of recovery, and together they give the Mission's program leadership a well-rounded, complementary foundation.

Scott lives in Seattle with his wife and their four daughters. When he's not at work, he treasures family time, and on sunny days you're likely to find him riding his Harley-Davidson through the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Vice President of Programs

As Vice President of Programs, Lisa Mauga helps lead the Mission's efforts to support and restore lives within the homeless community, drawing on degrees in substance use counseling and psychology and 12 years with the Mission. Before moving into nonprofit leadership, she built broad experience in people-centered service and organizational development through years in both the public sector and the real estate industry, a background that gives her a practical, big-picture view of how to build programs that actually work.

Lisa is deeply involved in her church, family, and local community, and she's passionate about living out her faith through compassion, relationship, and practical care. Outside of work, she finds joy in the outdoors, hiking, mountain climbing, and exploring rivers and the ocean.

Retired — Bonneville, Seattle

Bill spent 42 years in Seattle radio broadcasting, including 25 in sales, overseeing annual budgets, revenue, and expenses for everything from day-to-day advertising to sponsorships with local sports teams, including the Mariners, Seahawks, UW Huskies, and SuperSonics. In free time, Bill loves participating in all sorts of outdoors activities with his family at their cabin.

Community Volunteer

Priscilla serves as Deacon of Discipleship at Westminster Chapel, following a career as a product marketing manager at Microsoft Office. Her experience gives her a rare blend of ministry insight and corporate savvy, which enriches the Mission’s board. When she's not serving her church community, Priscilla loves hiking and boating with her husband and their two young adult sons.

Founder — CEO of Destiny

Andre is the founder and CEO of Destiny, where he equips leaders to bring clarity, stability, and Kingdom-centered impact to the marketplace. This work builds on his earlier career as a Vice President of Economic Development. Andre and his wife, Ambra, keep busy traveling, biking, and exploring new foods and cultures with their three children — affectionately known as the “3 Zs” for their shared first initial.

President & Chief Advisor — Sage Advisors, LLC

Russ launched his financial planning and investment advisory business back in 1987 and still enjoys the work today. His steady, long-term approach enriches the board’s planning and vision. Russ and his wife, Danielle, have been married for nearly 40 years and enjoy spending time with their four children and soon-to-be seven grandchildren.

Senior Director, Talent and Organizational Development — Tenpoint Therapeutics, Ltd

Scott brings more than 15 years of HR experience across academia, research institutions, and biotech, giving him a broad view of how organizations build and support strong teams. That people-first expertise translates into thoughtful board leadership. When he's not at work, Scott heads for the Methow Valley with his family to ski, hike, run trails, and mountain bike.

Owner — Seattle Pump and Equipment

Stu is the retired owner of Seattle Pump and Equipment Co. and has remained a steadfast supporter of the Mission and its work for many years. His decades running a business give him a practical, grounded perspective at the board table. An avid hiker and mountain biker, Stu spends much of his free time hiking and mountain biking, though nothing beats time with his family and grandchildren.

Pastor — Northshore Church

David has spent 23 years in pastoral ministry, bringing deep spiritual leadership and pastoral care experience to the board. His commitment to serving others aligns closely with the Mission's work with our homeless neighbors. Outside of ministry, David and his wife, Lydia, enjoy spending time with their three children — especially snowboarding in the winter.

Owner — J & M Carpet Renewal & Restoration

Jason is the founder and owner of J&M Carpet Renewal & Restoration, where for nearly a decade he's built a successful contracting business while creating real opportunities for others to thrive. Jason is active in his church and passionate about mentoring others in recovery[CF1.1], and outside of work he's fully devoted to investing in his family and making memories with his wife, Morgan, and their children.

Sr. Product Manager in Fitness and Fashion — Amazon

Carly brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in product strategy, marketing, and business growth from her time at both Nordstrom and Amazon. Her passion for serving is shaped by years of volunteering with the Mission, Bread of Life Mission, and Real Life Church. Carly and her husband, Yaroslav, enjoy adventuring outdoors with their five children and cheering them on in sports.

Community Volunteer

Kellie spent her career as a licensed social worker in healthcare settings, advocating for patients and families facing vulnerable situations, with extensive experience navigating mental health, addiction, and community resources. Outside of work, Kellie enjoys traveling with her husband and is passionate about serving with YoungLife, introducing kids to Jesus.

Senior Design Technologist — Amazon

Lauren works as a Lead Design Technologist at Amazon, where she leads design and innovation in AI technologies and systems, bringing sharp, forward-thinking expertise to the board. After moving to Seattle in 2019, she began volunteering with the Mission, joining the board in 2020. Her hands-on history with the organization gives her a personal understanding of the work beyond the boardroom.

President, Retired — Washington Air Reps

Scott is retired from a career as CEO of Washington Air Reps Inc. and brings decades of nonprofit board experience to the table, including service on the Mission's board since 1978. Scott and his wife, Kathi, have been married since 1975 and are blessed with two grown sons and six grandchildren. These days he splits his time between golfing in Palm Springs each winter and fly fishing whenever possible.

President — Aldrich-VKP Construction Company

George serves as President and CEO of AldrichVKP Construction Company, where he leads executive strategy and business development supporting healthcare and life science organizations across the Pacific Northwest. George and his wife, Gegi, have three grown children and cherish every chance to gather as a family, grounded by a shared faith they live out as members of Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church.
