KentHOPE Movie and Discussion

KentHOPE invites you to a screening of Same Kind of Different as Me

This is the true story of how Ron, an international art dealer, life was changed forever when his wife insisted that he join her in serving food at a local homeless shelter. There she introduced him to angry, homeless drifter Denver Moore. Initially worlds apart, their conflict grew into a transforming friendship as shocking tragedy drove Ron and Denver together.

Following the movie we invite you to join us in conversation about homelessness in our community and the impact you can have in solving it. We know change is possible when we offer help within the context of healing relationships and believe that you can offer a healing relationship that leads to hope and true life transformation in those we serve.

*Please note the film is PG-13 rating

KentHOPE supporters and volunteers, we encourage you to attend as a way of deepening your understanding of homelessness and gaining new insights. Please invite at least one friend, family member or community member who is interested in learning more about homelessness and KentHOPE.

“As a volunteer at a Rescue Mission in 1998, God met me and re-wrote my life story. For the last fifteen years, I have dedicated much of my life to helping the world see homelessness through God’s eyes.” – Ron Hall
