FAQ

Is the Mission a dry shelter?

Out of respect for those in recovery and to promote a safe environment, no alcohol or drugs are allowed inside the facility, and guests staying the night cannot be high or drunk upon entry. This is a pretty standard best practice across most local service providers. However, we strive to be as inclusive as possible, especially during the cold winter months. Guests who are not exhibiting disruptive signs of intoxication or drug use will typically be allowed to stay. This assessment is largely based on behavior; however breathalyzers may be administered when needed. Whenever possible, guests who are not sober are invited to come back in an hour or two and try again.
