“Thank you for giving me back my life!”

Alaina was living in a homeless camp. She didn't know anyone. As another fight broke out in the camp, she crouched deeper into the corner of her nylon tent. She was afraid. Scratching her needle-pricked arm, Alaina felt trapped by her addiction and hunger.

Hungry for a new life, Alaina came to the Mission. “My first meal was so good. Home-cooked. It felt like home,” says Alaina. “When I walked into the Mission, people were smiling at me. I had my own room. I feel safe today. I feel like I'm home. I feel amazing now.”

Today, Alaina is a graduate of our addiction recovery program. “I want to experience more in life. I'm interested in graphic design and art therapy. And helping others on their road to recovery.”

Alaina is just one example of the life-changing difference you make. But there are so many more like her here in the greater Seattle area who need your help.
