An InterVarsity Group with S.O.U.L.

"They did such an awesome job", Youth Services Staff member Christina Reid said. They came prepared to serve dinner for up to 70 people, kids, staff and volunteers at Club S.O.U. L. --- a group for middle school aged boys and girls that meets every Friday.

The volunteers were from the InterVarsity group from University of Washington. They hung out with the kids. Sitting with them during the meal and playing with them afterwards.

A couple of volunteers had the following to say about their experience;

"I had so much fun hanging out with the junior high and high school students. It felt like a party--sharing pizza and playing basketball all evening long!! I hope that we can spend time with them again. They're a great group of kids and I'm glad that there's an awesome program for them like Club S.O.U.L."

"We really enjoyed the opportunity to serve food and hang out with the kids. As far as volunteer work goes, it's a fun and easy project! Everyone was so nice and welcoming, we felt very comfortable and welcome to be there. Some of the guys played basketball, and it was fun to hang out and listen to some of the girls sing. We hope to do this again!"
