The Mission's Ambassador Program provides an excellent way for churches to get involved with the local community. Mars Hill Ambassador, Gary Kingsbury, with the help of Justin Auld, organized a group from their church to come serve and assist in our programs.
On Saturday, May 5th, they came down and started with a Pioneer Square Spruce-Up. Volunteers picked up trash, pruned overgrown bushes, and cleaned windows. Later they spent time with local at-risk youth in the Mission's Saturday Safari program.
Some sponsored a chapel at the Men's Shelter while other washed Mission vans, and served dinner. The Mars Hill group transformed a typical Saturday into an amazing day of service.
One Mission staff member remarked, "Justin was a joy to work with. I appreciate his enthusiasm and follow-through in preparation for the day. There are a lot of motivated people at Mars Hill Church who have a commitment to their community".
Thanks to Mars Hill Ambassador Gary Kingsbury and his team. To learn more about the Ambassador program, please contact Peggy at 206.723.0767.
