The students at King's Elementary really care. On April 20th, King's Elementary held an annual food drive to collect items for those served by Seattle's Union Gospel Mission's Youth Out Reach Center and various shelters.
They collected over 2,500 food and other essential items, including 40 new backpacks. In addition, the fourth grade "Marketplace Mission", the sixth grade student store, and some King's families raised $1,727 to contribute to the work of the Mission.
King's Elementary school is a great example of kids caring for kids; they are the hands and feet of Jesus in their community. Many lives will be touched because of their hard work and humble donations.
