After reading a local article about the Mission’s need for blankets, Candy Glenn, director of First Presbyterian Christian Preschool in Bellevue, decided to launch a blanket drive at the preschool. She asked staff and parents of the preschoolers to donate at least one blanket. “The blanket drive is a practical way for parents to talk about homelessness to their young children,” said Glenn. “It also teaches them to reach out and help people like God has called us to do.” The blanket drive ran for a few weeks and collected over 60 blankets!
