Boy’s lemonade stand helps homeless people

First grader Bobby Nadell raised $38 to help homeless people by selling lemonade and cookies to passersby in his Sammamish neighborhood.

“God wants us to help other people,” said Bobby.

After hearing about the Summer of Hope campaign on SPIRIT 105.3 to help homeless people, he decided to assemble a lemonade stand to help. He got the idea from some neighborhood kids who had one last summer. Bobby spent several hours selling the lemonade and cookies that he helped make with his mom. After it was all done, he had raised $38.

Last week, Bobby took a tour of SPIRIT 105.3 and the money was donated to help homeless people at Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission.

“He’s the neatest kid,” said his mother Kellie. “He has such a giving spirit.”

If you have an idea to help homeless men, women and children, please contact Linda at 206.723.0767 x118.
