Local Fitness Company Raises 7,000 pounds of food

Pacific Northwest Fitness has launched a six-week canned food campaign to benefit the less fortunate people in the community. The promotion offers discounts to new members who bring a bag of food to the company’s Duvall and Monroe facilities.

“We pride (ourselves) in giving back to the community who has given to us,” said Debra Emmert, office manager of Pacific Northwest Fitness. “It’s a God thing. We wanted to help the less fortunate – giving always comes back.”

To date, Pacific Northwest Fitness members have brought in over 7,000 pounds of food, which will be donated to Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission and local food banks.

Community partners like Pacific Northwest Fitness helps Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission provide over 420,000 meals a year to hungry and hopeless people.
