Homeless and Hungry in America

I know you’ve seen the desperate and distraught faces of Hurricane Katrina’s victims. Our hearts are broken by their incredible suffering. (Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission is currently providing assistance to our Sister Missions in Louisiana)

We understand what it means to be homeless. It is being endured every day by thousands of people right here in the Seattle area. Little girls and boys, moms and dads suffer chronic hunger, lack of shelter and despair. The national media rarely even acknowledges their plight. And while we will reach out to hurricane victims, we cannot forget our own neighbors who endure the same kind of suffering every day here on our own streets.

Please don’t forget to help your neighbor in distress.

Thank you,

Herb Pfiffner,
Executive Director
