Everett's Story

At 40 years old, Everett had nothing to live for. Nothing but the next drink, the next hit of drugs that would numb his pain.

Living in the "Jungle" on Beacon Hill, Everett celebrated his birthday with a feast straight out of a trash can. That's when he began coming to the Mission for meals.

Then one day at the chapel service, he heard about all that we can offer, and knew that it was time for him to change his ways.

"With the help of God, the Mission took me and completely changed who I am . . . my soul . . . my spirit. I want to live now," Everett exudes with passion. "Without the Mission, I think I'd probably be dead."
