"Mom, I’m pretty sure grownups have $2 too."
Seven-year-old Ethan in many ways is like all other 7-year-old boys. He loves playing superhero, going on hikes with Mom and Dad, and laughing uncontrollably at fart jokes. But Ethan also believes that God cares about homeless people, “so we should too!”
After learning that the Mission serves hot Easter meals for just $1.92, Ethan has donated his weekly allowance as well as his entire savings, giving $30 to feed homeless people this Easter. Then he challenged his mom Heather, saying “Mom, I’m pretty sure grownups have $2 too.”
10,000 meals by the end of the school year
This 7-year-old boy’s generous efforts have inspired family and friends to match his giving. As of this week, Ethan's Challenge has provided a total of 8,646 meals for Seattle's hungry. Make a gift and help Ethan reach his new goal of 10,000 meals before the end of the school year!
