Groups and churches

When your group partners with Seattle's Union Gospel Mission, you'll bond with each other, improve your community and transform peoples lives.

Groups: We welcome groups from all religious backgrounds, or no faith background at all.

Churches: We're honored that you chose to put your faith into action by serving those in greatest need in the community.

Transforming our community is a big project we can all unite around.

Ways to get involved

Volunteer

One of the best ways to get involved is through volunteering. You'll directly impact the lives of people living in the darkest places in our community.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering at the Mission is:

  • Flexible to your groups needs
  • Rewarding
  • Planned for you by our volunteer department

Get started

Volunteer groups make the growing vision for fighting homelessness and poverty in King County possible. Follow these 3 easy steps to get started:

  1. Look through the volunteer handbook and volunteer guidelines.
  2. Explore volunteer opportunities.
  3. If you haven't already, fill out our volunteer application. We'll process your application within 48 hours.

Events or drives

Your church or group can help poor and homeless men and women in King County without leaving the office. All you have to do is hold a drive for items that we need at the Mission, then bring them down after you've collected them.
