There are many things that volunteers can do to make the holidays extra special for homeless men, women, children, at-risk youth, lonely seniors, and prisoners.
We encourage you to get creative and let us know if there is
something you would like to do. Below are some ideas...
- Build and/or run a booth at the Youth Services Halloween Alternative Party.
- Sing Christmas carols at a shelter during meals.
- Adopt a family for Christmas.
- Help put on a Christmas party at the Women & Children's Shelter.
- Put up Christmas decorations at one of the Mission's Facilities.
- Sponsor a cookie decorating party at the Women & Children's Shelter.
- Sponsor a toy drive for children of prisoners.
- Sponsor a "Christmas in July" toy drive.
- Prepare individual Christmas stockings for men, women and children.
- Help men in recovery programs with gifts and cards for their families.
