The Web Site logs your IP address, browser type, use of particular pages, and other such general traffic information. In addition, our Web Site does not use cookies.

If you make an online donation or sign up to receive the Mission's newsletter, the Web Site collects all the information you enter in fields for your name, address and email address. In the case of an online donation, we also collect information entered in the following fields: telephone number, credit card information, company, comments, donation information, username, and password. This information is used to process your request and provide you with future information, unless you request otherwise.

Throughout the Web Site there are email links that allow you to send email to various programs or people within Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. The information contained in email sent to such addresses will be used internally to respond as needed to the particular request or email. The information may also be retained for further internal use. In addition, you have the option to send a link along with a brief message to a specified email address. Use of these links may be monitored for inappropriate use.

How Your Information May Be Shared
It is Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission’s policy never to sell, lease, or rent your personal information to a third party. Information may be shared with third-party vendors strictly for internal purposes; for example, your name and address may be provided to a vendor for the handling of a mailing from us.

Please have information ready that would help us uniquely identify you such as name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address and your Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission account number. In order to protect your privacy, you may be asked to verify certain information.

Security
Information you provide to us is stored on a secure server by our internet service provider and a secure server that is used and maintained internally. Online donations are processed using SSL, the industry standard for securing e-commerce transactions.
